I’ve been doing a lot of research into upcoming short story competitions this year with the intention of submitting to as many as I can. Since I’ve done the research I figure I should share it. So here is my list of short fiction competitions with deadlines in March. Happy submitting!

The Sheila Malady Short Story Competition

Theme: Light/Dark and inspired by Shakespeare’s plays

Prizes: First place is $300, 2x tickets to the Community Play performances, handcrafted timber quill. Local prize and writer under 18 years prize also.

21st Annual Parsec Short Story Contest
Deadline: 31 March
Theme: A hidden underlying truth

Henry Lawson Verse & Short Story Competition
